Overview

We are looking for a Full Time Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-paying position in Home Health Care. This position offers 5 weeks paid time off that can be used however you want, and the ability to craft your own schedule.  Home Health is very flexible in that the nurse schedules directly with their own patients, therefore you get to decide when you start and end your day to a large degree, and you can schedule your patients around your own life appointments and events.  Additionally, the RN can generally get their 30 visits a week done in about 30 hours and get paid your full salary of 40 hours for just 30 hours of work.  Or the Registered Nurse can work extra visits and make quite a lot extra, but still only work 40 hours.  For example, if an RN did 30 visits in 30 hours, and then did 10 extra visits at $50 per visit, they would make their full salary plus $26,000 extra on top of that (10 visits x $50 x 52 weeks).  And any extra Start of Care visits are paid at $110 per visit.  So there is lots of potential to make a lot of income working with our company in home health.

The Registered Nurse must have at least one year of recent experience with subacute or wound care patients such as Rehab, Hospital, Home Health, or Hospice experience.  The field Registered Nurse position in home health care is called an RN Case Manager, as you will be managing the cases of your home health patients.  This Home Health RN Case Manager position is with a homecare company that has been in business many years, so they offer stability and job security.  All interested Registered Nurse candidates please answer the questions at the bottom.

*If you qualify for this position and are interested, please put a note in your application with the following information:*

1. This is a full-time position. Are you willing and able to work full-time hours?

2. What times and days could you do a video interview (It's done via Zoom, and can be done on your phone or computer)?

3. What days and times could you do an in-person interview at the main office located in Wallingford? (You would be working out of a small territory around the town you applied to and would not need to go to the main office regularly)

4. This position requires the occasional after hours admissions visits and you will be paid extra for these. Are you going to be okay with that?

5. This is not shift work, but is seeing 3-7 pt./day in their homes or senior living facilities. You will be driving from patient home to patient home & most patients will be close together but sometimes you may have to drive 20-40 minutes to reach a patient's home, therefore; about half your day will be spent driving. Traveling is part of your salary plus you will get additional pay for mileage, but I want to make sure that you are fine with traveling as that is an integral part of home health?

6. Home Health is paid for by Medicare, and Medicare requires nurses to fill out a document called OASIS when starting any patient on services. The OASIS document is computerized, but in paper form is equal to a 38-page questionnaire, and then a lesser number of pages to update it for recertification and discharge. So, there is a lot of paperwork in home health-- are you going to be fine with that?

7. Before interviewing, the manager is requesting to know your specific salary range expectation (Please provide a specific range as we are unable to grant interviews at “negotiable”)?

8. Do you have at least 1 year experience in the hospital, rehab, hospice, or home health setting with med/surg patients?

9. Do you have experience with complex wound care and if so where did you work that you have this experience?

10. What is your email address?

***We will be emailing all Registered Nurse candidates follow-up questions so please be watching your email that you used to apply to this position.
