Overview

We are hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for a Hospice Clinical Director (Director of Patient Services) position. The Clinical Director oversees day-to-day clinical operations for all home health hospice services.

 

This role is primarily in-office, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. There is an Admin On-Call Rotation every 3–4 weeks, one week at a time. Managers typically cover 2 holidays per year. Calls are rare (0–3 per shift on average) and usually involve staff clinical/operational questions or patient referrals. Managers are not expected to go out on visits.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, assign, and monitor hospice staff workloads.

  • Hire, supervise, evaluate, and develop clinical team members; oversee staff scheduling.

  • Assist with recruitment, orientation, and onboarding.

  • Lead Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings and participate in facility/team meetings.

  • Support business growth by educating and coaching staff.

  • Manage hospice caseload as needed.

  • Provide education, in-services, and updates on quality standards, policies, and QAPI initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in the state

  • At least 2 years of recent hospice experience

  • Management/leadership experience preferred (not required)

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder
